CHHF celebrates 1-year anniversary

The Cahaba Homestead Heritage Foundation, Inc. celebrates its 1-year anniversary on March 8, 2022.

  1. I have hopes you might publish a picture of my childhood home, 103 Oak Street and it’s history.
    Born in Texas in 1951 my parents moved to Trussville in 1953-54 and I started 1st grade in 1957.
    I attended the old elementary in town that apparently burned years later.
    Ms. Farley was principal and Ms. Hammond was my 1st grade teacher.
    Also attended Jr. High around the corner from my house.
    Moved to East Lake in 1964 to be closer to dad’s work. He was copy editor at the B’ham Post Herald.
    I loved the small town of Trussville in the 1950’s and 60’s. .. Many sweet memories.
